    For graduate students, we offer campus tours upon request during regular business hours.  To schedule your graduate campus tours, e-mail gradstudies@winthrop.edu.

    When registering for any of our morning weekday visits, feel free to add on an academic departmental tour to chat with faculty and get an in-depth look at academic life at Winthrop within your desired major. The academic programs that offer this additional visit experience are as follows:

    Transfer Tuesdays 

    Description: Virtual Transfer Information Session hosted on Zoom, selct Tuesdays at 5:00 p.m.

    Transfer Tuesday information sessions are intended to simplify the transfer process and make for an easy transition to Winthrop University. These virtual information sessions provide students with information about the transfer application process, transfer credit policies, and available scholarships. Please note that we do not provide pre-evaluation of transfer credit.

    Arts Winthrop Special Events

    The College of Visual & Performing Arts invites you to join us for a special "ArtsWinthrop" Admissions events. These events will allow prospective students interested in music, fine arts, design, theatre and dance the opportunity to connect with faculty and current students.  Check out our upcoming dates below!

    Spring 2025

    • ArtsWinthrop Takeover Friday, February 14th   (Register
      This event offers students a traditional visit experience including the Admissions presentation and Campus tour in addition to time with College of Visual and Performing Arts current students and faculty.

    • Spring ArtsWinthrop Open House: Saturday, March 8, 2025
      (Registration Opens January 2025)
      This event is combined with the Admissions Fall Open House and follows directly after.

    • Winthrop Day: Saturday, April 5, 2025 
      (Admitted Student Only Event, Registration Opens February 2025)

    Description: Prospective STEM majors are invited for a hands-on day learning about Winthrop's STEM programs. This event includes lab tours, faculty and student panels, and a free lunch! The first 25 to register receive a FREE T-shirt! 

    Parents are welcome, but please note this will be a student-focused event. 
    This is first come, first served for the first 25 students registered. Free event with lunch and T-shirt provided.

    These events are only for prospective students interested in the following STEM Majors:

2025 Spring Visits

    Description: Not able to join us during the week?  Attend a Saturday Visit with us this Spring for a full visit experience.

    Spring Dates:

    Description: Join us for our Spring Open House created for all high school prospective students (seniors, juniors, and sophomores) to provide an in-depth view of academic and campus life at Winthrop University.  While on campus, you will have the opportunity to meet Winthrop faculty, staff, and students; explore your intended major; and tour our campus.

    Description: Winthrop Day is all about celebrating our Admitted Eagles!  All 2025 Admitted students can attend this celebration and learn more about life at Winthrop.  At this event students and families can connect with current students, faculty, and staff.

    Registration Opens: February 2025

    Spring Date:

    • April 5, 2025

    Description: First Look Friday provides a glimpse into the life of a Winthrop student. The visit includes a tour of campus, lunch in the cafeteria, and sitting in on a class.  Students also have opportunities to speak with current students, faculty, and their personal admissions counselor to learn more about the Winthrop experience.
