Bachelor of Arts
Mass Communication, grounded in the liberal arts, proves to interactively prepare leaders who communicate clearly, speak effectively, and think critically across multiple platforms to be competitive in the ever-changing digital arena. A converged curriculum offers exemplary training in writing, producing and editing news for integrated media. Students will be challenged to think critically drawing on conceptual, historical, legal and ethical environments of the discipline.

Students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication may follow the prescribed curriculum to pursue careers in broadcasting, journalism, or digital sports production, or customize a program to best match areas of interest.
CurriculumEnjoy internship relationships with 100+ media and marketing companies, including ESPNU, SEC Network, ACC Network, Raycom and the Charlotte Hornets.
Produce award-winning newscasts, radio podcasts and publications with on-campus newspapers, a digital broadcast studio and control room.
We have six partner study abroad schools in Ireland, England, Australia, Sweden, Norway and Spain.
