Cavin attended Winthrop University as a post-traditional student, graduating in 2015 and 2017. She was a McNair Scholar and later served as the program’s graduate assistant and then programming assistant. She taught in the public school system briefly before becoming the director of the Eagle STEM Scholars program.
Cavin is married with four children. In her free time she loves hanging out with her husband and loving on their four dogs.
