Dr. DeRochi is a professor of English, specializing in restoration and 18th-century
literature. His main research focus is in the field of 18th-century drama, and he
is currently co-editing a book focusing on the life and works of Richard Brinsley
Sheridan. DeRochi's other research interests include satire and the novel's effect
on drama in 18th-century England. He is a member of the American Society for Eighteenth-Century
