He has presented or published papers on posthumanism and human rights, the role guidelines and rules play in shaping institutional culture, appropriate methods for selecting political leaders, Habermas & Rawls' conceptions of public political discourse, corporate social responsibility and stakeholder theory, legal and moral conceptions of privacy, human rights and intervention in international affairs, theories of punishment, and epistemological skepticism.

Since coming to Winthrop in 2001, Dr. Meeler has taught courses in logic, critical thinking, epistemology, philosophy of law, LSAT logic preparation, and a number of ethical courses including history of ethical theory, contemporary developments in moral reasoning, environmental ethics, bio-medical ethics, business ethics, and ethics in emerging technologies.
