Dr. Prickett has taught courses in secondary and middle-level English methods, adolescent literature, dystopian literature, CRTW 201, and WRIT 101. With a specialized focus on English Education, his most recent contributions to the field are bringing together areas of personal and professional interest: popular culture, media and technology, young adult literature, and teaching.
Prior to joining the Winthrop University faculty, Dr. Prickett was the Department of Education chairperson at Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport, LA. Dr. Prickett has also served as Acting Department Chairperson for the Department of English. Currently, he is the Associate Dean for Teacher Education, Research, and Professional Development of the College of Arts & Sciences (CAS).
