Sixty years ago, four pioneering African-American women quietly integrated the Winthrop campus. In 2024 Winthrop will seek to commemorate this significant milestone in the university’s history.
Planned events will allow the community to come together, remember, and reflect on the contributions of these brave women and many other esteemed African Americans who helped pave the way for the access and diversity that characterizes today’s Winthrop experience. Please join us!
