Residence Halls with Historic Charm

Winthrop housing options includes residence halls like Margaret Nance, a traditional-style hall for a classic first-year college experience with hall-style bathrooms, fireplace lounges and study areas; Lee Wicker, Thomson and Phelps—suite-style dorms with shared bathrooms connecting two rooms and communal areas for meeting friends; and The Courtyard, an apartment-style experience with deluxe suites with two or four private bedrooms, a kitchen area, and included washer and dryer.

Just a short walk from any of our residence halls, the Lois Rhame West Center includes a four court gymnasium, racquetball courts, climbing wall, indoor track, weight room, cardio space and more. Take advantage of good weather and head out to the Winthrop Recreational and Research Complex to find two intramural sports fields, a walking path around Winthrop Lake and two premier disc golf courses.
