Overview

Smiling students at classroom desksEvery career path today must make its way through a landscape informed by injustice and inequity. Take any two courses in the Winthrop Social Justice and Equity Institute do be introduced to or to dig deeper into the vital issues humans face regarding justice and equity in our societies. Disciplines represented include African American Studies, Anthropology, Criminal Justice, English, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology, and Women’s and Gender Studies. Both introductory and upper-level courses are offered. This is a great way to augment any degree program or career as all human affairs and careers are affected by these issues!

Courses and Dates

No single course in the institute is required, and the courses are spread out through the summer terms so that you can complete the certification taking only one course at a time! Choose any two courses from the list below to earn the microcredential.
