WHEREAS, the mission of the Bachelor of Science in Information Design degree program
is to create graduates focused on thriving in the world of communication and commerce
; and
WHEREAS, the importance of electronically-based professions is growing and companies
must be able to design information for electronic delivery; and
WHEREAS, to compete both locally and globally, companies must understand how to harness
the power of the internet to disseminate information and provide internet-based services
to customers; and
WHEREAS, the graduates from the proposed program will have a unique blend of contemporary
skills and knowledge from the areas of marketing, graphic design, computer science,
and mass communication; and
WHEREAS, no additional resources above student tuition and fees will be required for
this program;
THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED that the Bachelor of Science in Information Design degree
program be added.
