WHEREAS, the respective Boards of Trustees at state institutions of higher learning
are empowered to determine schedules of student fees; and
WHEREAS, on June 11, 2010, the Board of Trustees resolved to empower the Executive
Committee of the Board of Trustees to be authorized to adopt the 2010-11 fee schedule
after final legislative action was taken: and
WHEREAS, the members of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees at Winthrop
University have examined the fee structure at Winthrop University; and
WHEREAS, the members the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees have examined
the projected resources and projected commitments for 2010-2011; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Board recognize their fiduciary responsibility to ensure
that the University's budget strikes a balance between actual resources and commitments;
THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED that the proposed fee schedules for 2010-11 as attached
hereto and incorporated by reference be adopted by the Executive Committee of the
Board of Trustees; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED that the operating budget as reflected on the attached
Allocation Status Report be adopted by the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees.
