Mr. Drueke serves as the Assistant Provost for Curriculum and Program Support. In this role, he works with the faculty, departments and colleges on curriculum development, academic policies, and student academic issues. Mr. Drueke also chairs the Commencement and Convocation committees coordinating those academic ceremonies and the selection of faculty award winners. He also regularly represents Winthrop at meetings of the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education and its academic committees and advisory groups. He has oversight of the Offices of Records and Registration and Business Intelligence and Data Management. Mr. Drueke has been part of the Provost’s office staff since July 2010 when he was named Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Mr. Drueke has been at Winthrop since 1999 when he was appointed Registrar. As Registrar, he coordinated the implementation of web-based services to students, including online registration, advising, and degree auditing. Starting in 2008 he was part of the steering team for the implementation of the Banner system where he was the project lead for the Banner student and DegreeWorks implementations.
