What makes Winthrop special -
I can't believe I get to hear the bells from the clock tower of the Tillman Administration
Building every day I'm on campus, what a treat! I also enjoy how walkable and accessible
the campus is, and I have found the Winthrop community to be so welcoming and vibrant.
This is an encouraging and supportive community - small enough where you'll be recognized
and able to build relationships, yet large enough to offer a broad variety of learning
and growth opportunities.
Advice for students during the search process -
See this time as an opportunity to hit the "pause" button to truly consider who you
want to be at the conclusion of your college years. It's so important that you visit
campus so you can find the environment that will help you thrive as you learn and
grow, (not just survive). Consider the resources, opportunities and connections the
community has to offer and how they match up to your individual needs and goals.
Advice for students on campus -
Take the time to explore all that is available to you on campus and the surrounding
community to make the most of your Eagle years on campus. The more involved and engaged
you are, the more you'll learn about yourself and the world around you. Lean into
Winthrop's community because the relationships you build in college can last a lifetime
and open doors for growth and opportunities, now and well into the future.
