Winthrop President's Circle

The President's Circle recognizes annual donors whose total giving reaches $1,000 or more each fiscal year. Members lead the Winthrop community in promoting a culture of giving to have a profound impact on the University and its students. Members can take pride in the support provided to Winthrop and have the benefit of connecting with each other at exclusive events.

Membership in the President's Circle is based on qualifying gifts to the Winthrop University Foundation between July 1 and June 30 of the preceding year and renewable annually.

What Gifts qualify?

All charitable, tax-deductible gifts to any fund at the Winthrop University Foundation count toward President's Circle membership, including:

• One-time gifts made via cash, check, or credit card
• Payments on pledges (credited as payments are received)
• Gifts of stocks/securities
• Corporate matching gifts (credited when the matching funds are received)
• Transfers directly from an IRA account
• Events: donations and sponsorships count, but event registration does not
