Professor Beasley is originally from Virginia and received her undergraduate degrees in both English and Spanish from Virginia Tech. In 2006, she completed the M.A. program in English at Winthrop.
Her interests are mid-19th-century to mid-20th-century American literature and composition. Her current research examines expatriate, female characters and religion — specifically Catholicism — in the works of Ernest Hemingway.
