Dr. Sasaki received a Ph.D. in Zoology from Oklahoma State University. He served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Loyola University Maryland for three years and completed a postdoctoral research at Laurentian University (Ontario, Canada) before coming to Winthrop in 2017. His research broadly considers human impacts on wildlife (e.g., exploitation, habitat modification, pollution, non-native plants, and climate change) and aims at discerning ecological and evolutionary mechanisms behind population- and community-level responses to anthropogenic stressors.
