Eagle Air (WINR) is Winthrop’s online college radio station, which is available worldwide via web stream and the free TuneIn internet radio app. The station streams 24 hours a day and features popular and college music spanning seven decades. To find the station, download the free TuneIn app and search for “Eagle Air.” The station can also be found on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the handle @WUEagleAir.
The station features students from across campus who are eligible to host shows on the station during the spring and fall semesters. Students aspiring to enter professional radio can receive valuable hands-on experience in the Eagle Air studio as an announcer and students can also serve on the executive staff as station manager, program director or music director. Auditions for air shifts take place on a semester basis and provide opportunities to host a program on the streaming campus station.
