Thanks to receiving this scholarship, I was able to pay my expenses and engage in the lives of others. I am currently involved in multiple organizations, both on and off campus. I am so grateful that I don’t have to worry about paying excessive debt after I graduate. This scholarship allowed me to focus on the most important things in life- making a difference in the lives of those in my community. What I appreciate most about Winthrop is the campus community. It's filled people that are both like and unlike me. Meeting so many new people helped me to grow and develop as a person.
