Winthrop's academic programs are measured by national standards of quality.
Our baccalaureate in business administration and master of business administration degree programs are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB-International), the premier accrediting agency for business school programs. Less than one-third of U.S. business school programs and less than 5% of programs worldwide hold this accreditation. AACSB-International accreditation assures quality and promotes excellence and continuous improvement.
Our baccalaureate degree in computer science is accredited by ABET. ABET is the recognized accrediting body for college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering, and technology. Among the most respected accreditation organizations in the U.S., ABET has provided leadership and quality assurance in higher education for over 70 years.
Furthermore, our undergraduate health care management option is certified by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA). We are currently the only undergraduate Health Care Management program in South Carolina to hold this certification.
Winthrop University is also accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097; 404/679-4501) to award bachelors, masters, and specialist degrees.
Similar to the University, the College of Business and Technology has an updated Privacy Statement (pdf - 380K) for Faculty, Staff, and Students alike.
