I am finally at the terminous of my Renaissance career. Over the years, I have been an interior designer for a small company, a visual merchandiser for local and national retailers, a community developer for local government, a historic preservationist for a national preservation organization, a historic preservation consultant, a small business owner, and currently an administrator for higher education. As I contemplate retirement from higher education, I look forward to returning to the artistic me.
December 2021 was an exciting time for me-- I completed doctoral studies at the University of the Cumberlands (KY). It was so exciting because I thought I would never pursue such a degree, and working full-time while pursuing it was challenging. I received a Doctor in Philosophy in Leadership with a concentration in Student Services. Also, until last year, I was the project manager during the build and system administrator after the launch of a customer relationship management system (CRM). That was a real challenge. Other than these major work-related undertakings, I am enjoying life and looking forward to a big trip being planned for 2026.
