Lori Lynne Robinson, a native of Sumter, SC, is Co-Director of Bands at D.R. Hill Middle School in Spartanburg District 5. Mrs. Robinson is a passionate music educator and began her career in Lancaster County, SC where she taught K-5 general music and chorus at Indian Land Elementary and Harrisburg Elementary. In 2018, she served as the Director of Bands at Chester Middle School in Chester, SC. Mrs. Robinson joined the Spartanburg District 5 family in 2019 as Band Director at Berry Shoals Intermediate School. During her tenure the Berry Shoals band program saw numerous students earn placements in SCBDA Region Band and All-State Bands, as well as Superior and Excellent ratings at state performance assessments. During her time at D.R. Hill, the band has consistently achieved high rankings in SCBDA-sanctioned events. Most notably, the D.R. Hill Symphonic Band had the honor of performing at the SCMEA In-Service Conference in 2025.

In addition to her work with District 5 middle school students, Mrs. Robinson is part of the instructional staff for the James F. Byrnes Rebel Regiment, a consistent finalist at Bands of American Regional competitions and consistent medalist at State Marching Championships. During the 2024 competitive season, the Rebel Regiment was named the BOA Carolina Regional Champion and the Class 6A State Marching Champion.

Mrs. Robinson holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Winthrop University and a Master of Music Education from North Greenville University. Outside of her school responsibilities, she is a dedicated private music instructor, offering flute and piano lessons to students of all ages in Spartanburg County. She resides in Inman with her husband, Jeff, and their calico cat, Lucky.
