Quintel Gwinn's work is centered around equitable design processes that educate, engage and promote the impact of design to broader audiences. Gwinn is passionate about the impact design has on our society at large. Through her practice Gwinn has led spatial design projects focused on adaptive reuse, identity, healing, inclusive public engagement, and cultural sustainability. She believes responsively created spaces are integral and poetic elements of a culturally significant environment.
Gwinn has been featured in local publications such as Charlotte Magazine, Pride Magazine, Charlotte Home Design and Decor, and Axios Charlotte. In 2021, she was profiled in Veranda Magazine, a national top industry shelter magazine, and recognized as a Ones to Watch rising leader by the American Society of Interior Designers.
Gwinn earned her MA in Interior Architecture and Design from Queens University of Charlotte and her BS in Interior Design from Georgia Southern University. Student success and preparing them for the field, by sharing real-world experiences to enhance classroom learning, are her highest priorities.
