Winthrop's DSU has been voted as Campus Activities Magazine's 2013 Best Program Board! DSU has also won this honor in 1995, 2002, 2004, and 2013.Winthrop's DSU Program Board has been nominated in the "Top 5 Program Boards in the Country" from 1994-2005, 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2014.
Winthrop's DSU Program Board won Best Program Board of the Year in 1999. In 2001 the APCA Program Board of the Year Award was renamed the Boyd Jones Programming Award in honor of Winthrop's Campus Programs Director, Boyd Jones. APCA named Winthrop's Welcome Week as Best Campus Programming Event in the country in 2001.
NACA presented an award for Best Program Board in the country from 1995-1999. Winthrop's DSU Program Board won the award in 1995, 1996, and 1999 and was named one of the top 5 Program Boards in the country on each of the 5 ballots. The NACA Awards have now been discontinued. Winthrop's DSU also won the NACA South's Best Program Board Website in 2010, which was designed by Chris Phillips.
