ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA - Winthrop University's fall 2016 M.B.A. lecture will feature Melissa Allen Gladden '99, president of Carolina Recruitment, LLC.
The lecture will be held on Tuesday, Nov.1, at 7 p.m. in Whitton Auditorium located
in Vivian M. Carroll Hall. A reception will be held before the lecture, from 6-6:45 p.m., in the Macfeat House adjacent to Carroll Hall.
After graduating from Winthrop, Gladden established Carolina Recruitment (CR) in 2001
from her parent's spare bedroom. It was her vision to bring innovative staffing solutions
to the local business community.
With an honest reputation and a firm belief in personalized customer service, CR earned
accolades from its clients and is now recognized as a leader in workforce development
for companies with a national and international presence.
CR is a Women Business Enterprise minority provider and offers services such as contingent staffing, human resource duties, payroll services and professional placements. CR's mission is to create an environment that embraces the diversity of its staff, its employees and the communities it serves, for the greater good of all.
Most recently, the Charlotte Business Journal named Gladden one of the top 25 Women in Business.
In 2015, she was recognized by the state of South Carolina as Small Business Person of the Year and was runner up in 2014.
Gladden and her husband, Bryan, live in Rock Hill and have three children.
The Nov. 1 event is free and open to the regional business community.
