To subscribe to RSS ("Really Simple Syndication") feeds, you must use an RSS aggregator often called an RSS reader or news reader. An aggregator downloads content from other sites and then displays a list of headlines on your personalized webpage, or within a stand-alone software application. When you click one of the headlines, you're directed back to the site where the article originated, such as winthrop.edu/news. Most aggregators update your headline list automatically, so you're always shown the most recent content.
Winthrop University publishes a Dacus Library feed. By clicking on the link below, you will be redirected to a service which will enable you to view the feed of your choice and to subscribe using your preferred RSS reader.
Two of the most popular free RSS services are offered by My Yahoo! and My MSN. They compile feeds from various Internet sources and list the articles on personalized web pages.
To add the Dacus Library feed to any of the online services, simply choose the feed at the top of the feed page and click the appropriate button. For example, if you're a My Yahoo! subscriber, click one of the buttons ( ) to add a feed automatically.

If you use a stand-alone RSS reader, such as SharpReader or FeedDemon, there are two ways to subscribe to Winthrop's news feeds:
If you use the Mozilla Firefox Web browser, you can subscribe to RSS feeds by clicking the icon on any page where it appears. This will add a link for that particular feed to your browser's Bookmarks menu. Clicking the bookmark will display a list of available articles, which you can then access as you would any other bookmarked webpage.
