ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA – Get ready for an action-packed weekend of food, music
and fun during Winthrop University's Homecoming and Reunion Weekend, Friday, Nov. 15-Saturday, Nov. 16!
Alumni can participate in a variety of activities - class reunions, campus tours, alumni awards, tailgating and basketball – all in one unforgettable weekend.
Alumni from the classes of 1944, 1949, 1954, 1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014 will celebrate milestone reunions throughout the weekend.
New this year are changes to tailgating. The zone for tailgating has been expanded across more of the area surrounding the Winthrop Coliseum and will featured designated, paid tailgating spots for larger student and alumni groups. Tailgating from vehicles and smaller tailgate set ups will be allowed in the North and South parking lots. Expect tailgating to start wrapping up around 3:30 p.m. Full details on the tailgate changes and tailgate policy are available at winthrop.edu/homecoming.
A crowd favorite – the Winthrop College Vintage Collection – will return this year to the Winthrop Bookstore. Winthrop College-inspired apparel and throwback gear will be available for purchase throughout the weekend.
Again this year, the Winthrop Alumni Choir and Winthrop University Chorale will put on a special alumni concert at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, in Tillman Auditorium.

5-8 p.m., Campus Green
Join students, faculty and staff, and the Winthrop community at the center of campus
for a family-fun event featuring food trucks, music, corn hole, photo ops and more
activities! The Winthrop Bookstore will be open to purchase your Winthrop swag and
the West Center will be open for tours.
Winthrop Alumni Association Tailgate
8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., South lawn, Winthrop Coliseum
Come out for this Homecoming tradition sponsored by the Winthrop Alumni Association.
Alumni, students and community members are invited to enjoy food, music by a DJ and
a Kids' Zone for children 12 and younger. Alumni receive a free Winthrop T-shirt –
designed by Brandon McGinnis ’12 – while supplies last!

The Winthrop Alumni Association honors the 2019 Alumni Award winners, celebrates the
Golden Girls from the Class of 1969 and recognizes all reunioning classes.
