ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA – Winthrop University Interim President George W. Hynd will give a virtual State of the University presentation on Wednesday, Nov. 18.
Information on how to view the presentation will be updated in this release on Tuesday, and the presentation will be available for viewing at 2 p.m. on Nov. 18.
Hynd will report on the past year's achievements of Winthrop's students, faculty and staff; share metrics tied to the university’s strategic plan, called the Winthrop Plan; and discuss initiatives that he has been charged by the Board of Trustees to complete during his time here.
While this past year has had its challenges, Hynd said there also are positives to share. “I am excited to talk about our goals moving forward,” the interim president said.
