ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA -- Winthrop University's Institute of Management is now accepting applications for the 2018-19 Nonprofit Management Certificate Program.
This nine-month program begins on Tuesday, Sept. 25, and is offered once each month,
through May 2019. It is designed for nonprofit executive directors, presidents and
CEOs, as well as program managers, department managers and key leadership staff who
desire to build or enhance their fundamental knowledge of operating a not-for-profit
organization.
Housed in the College of Business Administration, the coursework includes: board management and governance, legal basics and operational
accountability, accounting and finance, human resources management, program planning,
business ethics and diversity, marketing and public relations, development and sustainability.
Space in the program is limited to the first 30 registrants. Successful participants
in the program receive a certificate of completion from the institute.
The program receives grants from the J. Marion Sims Foundation and other local foundations.
The course fee includes tuition, materials and lunches: in-state tuition is $425 and
out-of-state tuition is $525.
