ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA — Love and revenge drive William Shakespeare's most suspenseful
comedy, "The Merchant of Venice." This modern adaptation is set in a junkyard and told by a group of disenfranchised
youths who finds this story of privilege and corrupt justice all too timely.
Directed and adapted by Winthrop University Adjunct Professor Sarah Provencal, the
production opens Wednesday, April 5 and runs through Sunday, April 9 in Johnson Theatre. Show times are 8 p.m. April 5-8 and 2 p.m. on April 9. Tickets are $5 with a Winthrop
ID and $10 for the general public for the Wednesday and Thursday shows. Tickets are
$8 with a Winthrop ID and $15 for the general public Friday through Sunday. Tickets
