ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA - The Winthrop Board of Trustees welcomed two new board members in July.
The South Carolina General Assembly appointed Robby Sisco '80 to the Congressional District 7 seat that was filled by Karl Folkens '76, who did
not seek reelection. In addition, Winthrop alumni voted for Isaiah "Reggie" Venning '95, '00, to fill one of the alumni representative seats on the board.
Robby Sisco
Sisco, who resides in Florence and will serve a six-year term, was the senior vice
president of human resources for the Cabot Corporation, a global specialty chemicals
and performance materials company. Prior to joining Cabot in 1999, Sisco worked for
DuPont for approximately 20 years at a number of locations across the United States
in a variety of manufacturing, operations and human resource professional and management
positions.
Sisco earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Francis
Marion University in 1978 and a Master of Science degree in personnel and industrial
relations from Winthrop in 1980.
He is married to Julia Fore, and they have one daughter and one granddaughter.
Isaiah "Reggie" Venning
Venning, who lives in Rock Hill and will serve a six-year term, is a self-employed
stock trader. Venning has served on the Winthrop Graduate School Advisory Board as
a member of the Community Relations Sub-Committee.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and his Master
of Business Administration degree from Winthrop.
Venning is married to Krystal Davis Venning '96, '99, and the couple has two children,
Isaiah Jr. and Langston.
