ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA – Winthrop University women's volleyball will travel to Seattle, Washington, to take on the University of Washington Huskies
in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. This will be the first trip to the big dance since the 2006 season and the first match
up between the two teams.
The Eagles (22-4, 16-0) earned an automatic bid to the tournament after winning the
Big South Conference Championship in a three-set sweep of Campbell. The Huskies, 24-6,
15-5, finished second in the Pac-12 and earned a 8th seed for the tournament.
The Eagles will play on Dec. 6 at 10:30 p.m. EST at the Hec Edmundson Pavilion on
