ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA -- The Carolinas Association of Collegiate Registrars and
Admissions Officers will hold a regional college fair at Winthrop University on Aug.
27.
College representatives from 80 institutions across the Southeast will attend the
event in McBryde Hall. High school students and their parents are welcome to attend.
From 10-11:30 a.m., high school students from York, Chester and Lancaster counties
will be brought to McBryde Hall to learn more information about four-year and two-year
institutions in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and other neighboring states.
The day portion of the fair was created for students who may not be able to attend
in the later hours due to extracurricular activities or not having a ride. The college
fair will also be open 6-8 p.m. for area high school students and their families to
attend.
Representatives from Winthrop's Office of Financial Aid will be on hand to answer
questions about financial aid and South Carolina scholarships and grants.
The information is applicable no matter which South Carolina institution a student
is planning to attend.
