ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA – Disc golfers have gathered at the Winthrop Coliseum to prepare for this week’s Championship Week.
Competitors and volunteers are expected from all over the country to participate in the U.S. Disc Golf Championship held Oct. 6-9 on Winthrop’s Gold Course.
Here is the schedule:
· Tuesday - The opening ceremony is planned for 7 p.m. and the Disc Golf Hall of Fame inductions at the Rock Hill Sports Complex.
· Wednesday - Forty of the best female athletes will throw in the Pink Women’s Championship. The first men’s round also begins.
· Friday - The College Disc Golf will hold the Dean’s Cup competition.
· Saturday - A men’s singles winner will be crowned after this final round.
· Sunday - Spectator Appreciation day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Participants can enjoy the course and try out their own shots. A Throw Pink Women’s Clinic starts at 9 a.m.
