ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA - Winthrop University's Institute of Management is accepting
applications for the 2016-17 Nonprofit Management Certificate Program.
The nine-month program begins on Sept. 20 and is offered once each month through May
of 2017. It is designed for nonprofit executive directors, presidents and CEOs, as
well as program managers, department managers and key leadership staff who desire
to build or enhance their fundamental knowledge of operating a not-for-profit organization.
The coursework includes: board management and governance, legal basics and operational accountability, accounting
and finance, human resources management, program planning, business ethics and diversity,
marketing and public relations, development and sustainability.
Space in the program is limited. Successful participants in the program receive a
certificate of completion from Winthrop's Institute of Management.
Registration is due by Sep. 1. The course fee includes tuition, materials and lunches:
in-state tuition for S.C. is $425 and out-of-state tuition is $525. The program receives
grants from the J. Marion Sims Foundation, Chester Healthcare Foundation and the Sisters of Charity of South Carolina.
