Dear Colleagues,
As you will recall, one of the charges I received from the Board of Trustees when I arrived at Winthrop involved taking stock of our strategic plan, the Winthrop Plan. While we affirm our continued commitment to the five strategic goals which are the foundation for all that we do, we also must evaluate how successful the plan has been since it was adopted in 2016. After five years it makes sense to determine what worked with the plan, how we can improve or revise key metrics, and what changes are needed for the next five years and beyond.
Our Institutional Research office within the Department of Accreditation, Accountability and Academic Services has created a survey to help Winthrop leadership gather feedback from you on the Winthrop Plan. The survey is linked below and should take about 5-15 minutes to complete, depending on your familiarity with the plan. (See my website menu under “Winthrop Plan” for all the data we have posted since the plan was adopted, including the most recent Measures and Metrics.)
Survey responses will be kept confidential, and the survey will be available until close of business on Friday, May 14. Please take some time between now and then to complete the survey and provide feedback that can help us continue our work to review the Winthrop Plan over the summer. I realize this survey is coming at the end of the year. I certainly appreciate your time during the last days of the spring semester to help with this important endeavor. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
George
