The Office of Student Engagement & Diversity provides facilities, programs, and services that create meaningful out-of-class learning opportunities for the Winthrop community to naturally connect with one another and gain knowledge and skills to succeed and be socially responsible.
Our staff works with student organizations to provide support and guidance for on-campus events and activities. Student organizations are encouraged to apply for funding through the Council of Student Leaders, Student Allocations Committee to assist with speakers, events, and conferences open to Winthrop students. Events and activities supported in part by SAC funds need not and should not avoid controversial, political, religious and/or ideological content. All SAC/OSA decisions are made from a neutral view-point.
