WHEREAS, Winthrop University owns property on Cherry Road, in the City of Rock Hill, County of York, in the State of South Carolina, and known as the “Coke Building” and more specifically described as tax parcel number 629-01-07-008; and
WHEREAS, Winthrop University desires to sell this property in the amount of $1,450,000 in its existing condition or “AS-IS”; and
WHEREAS, South Carolina Real Property Services is required to approve the sale;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of Winthrop University does hereby approve the sale of the property known as the “Coke Building,” a complete description is attached as an exhibit hereto, to Lancaster Land, LLC upon the approval of the South Carolina Real Property Services and authorizes the Chair and the President to execute all documents related to this sale.
