WHEREAS pursuant to S.C. Code Ann. §59–125–1, et. seq., the Board of Trustees of Winthrop University is created and established as a body corporate for the purpose of effectuating the educational mission of Winthrop University.

WHEREAS pursuant to the Winthrop University Board of Trustees Bylaws art. IV, sec. H, it is the Board of Trustees' duty to ensure academic programs align with the university’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
WHEREAS Rock Hill Schools, an important partner in Winthrop’s educator preparation programs,
has expressed interest in a pilot initiative to use the
WPDC pricing and content delivery structure for the Project-Based Learning (PBL) Endorsement
Sequence of EDUC 521, 522, 523 courses.
WHEREAS this initiative aligns with Winthrop’s strategic goals of fostering innovative educational partnerships and enhancing professional development opportunities for educators in South Carolina.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that on April 25, 2024, the Winthrop University Board of Trustees hereby adopts the pilot project to implement the PBL Endorsement Sequence for Rock Hill’s designated elementary, middle, and high schools using the WPDC pricing and content delivery structure as described in the proposal;
FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary to the Board of Trustees shall certify that the Winthrop University Board of Trustees approved this resolution on April 25, 2024, in a regular meeting scheduled by the Winthrop University Board of Trustees. Such resolution shall be maintained and publicly posted by the Secretary of the Board in a time and manner as required by law.
