Vessel sculpture
Vessel is a site-specific sculpture located at the center of three intersecting sidewalks between Kinard and the Leitner Wall. The sidewalks surrounding the sculpture provide a means of transportation between various destinations. Similarly, the sculpture's aluminum form enables a path for the flowing water to follow while still allowing for a variety of subtle movements. The relationship between the two consists of dependency and contrast. The water depends on the structure to enable its movement while at the same time tarnishing and corroding its path.
