Owens Hall is a 32,200-square-foot building that stays true to Winthrop’s devotion to close interaction between students and faculty. Most every Winthrop student will attend a class or two in Owens Hall during the course of their Winthrop experience. Each of the 21 classrooms inside is equipped with the latest instructional technology, and the $6.5 million facility also includes a computer lab and conference rooms. The building suffered severe damage from a 2010 fire but reopened in spring 2011.The building is named for Winthrop alumna and supporter Glenda Owens and her husband, Jerry.
