630 University Lake Drive
Located in a wooded area near the Shack overlooking the Winthrop Lake, Winthrop's Outdoor Education Center was created in 1982 to offer teambuilding activities and low- and high-ropes experiences to business, educational, professional, and other groups. The program has served more than 30,000 people. Coordinated through the Richard W. Riley College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences's Department of Physical Education, Sport, and Human Performance, OEC facilitators create workshops and activities to meet the needs and goals of teams. Sessions range in length from three hours to multiple days.
