As a proud alumnus, I can speak from experience that Winthrop is a special place and that my time here transformed my life.
Now into my third year as president, I am proud of all we accomplished together in the last two years and look with anticipation to that momentum driving us forward as we accelerate on transformative initiatives currently underway to shape our future.
This fall, we will debut our strategic plan, Winthrop: United in Excellence, that will serve as our blueprint for the next three to five years. We committed to this because we want Winthrop to be a place where all students can belong and thrive, not to mention be transformed for success today and beyond. We've put a lot of work into this plan, and I know we will reap the benefits from it for years to come. In the spring, we will launch our Competency-based Education initiative, Winthrop Elevate, which is tailored for adult learners who want to complete a degree on their own time and at their own pace. This modality will be a game changer for adult students who want a fast, flexible and affordable degree program.
