The Winthrop University Black Alumni Council (BAC) is dedicated to strengthening the connection between Black alumni and the university. BAC uplifts the community by fostering networking opportunities, mentorship and initiatives that support Black students and alumni.

Black Alumni Weekend is a celebration of Winthrop’s Black alumni and their contributions. It’s a weekend filled with reunions, networking and meaningful conversations, honoring the legacy of Black students and alumni while building connections for the future.

Yes! All Winthrop alumni are invited to attend!
Yes! On-campus events such as panel discussions and exhibits will be free and open to current students. Students, register here to attend!
Yes! Black Alumni Weekend is open to all Winthrop alumni, friends, supporters and family members. Bring your crew and celebrate together!
There are no virtual opportunities for the 2025 Black Alumni Weekend, but we hope to offer this in the future.
While some events are free to attend, others may require a registration fee or costs assumed by attendees, like food and drink purchases.
