Willis Lewis is a Professor of Economics at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He was a faculty member of Lander University before joining Winthrop University. Willis' research interests include regional growth, economic development, welfare reform, issues in higher education, and rural policy. His research has been published in Rural America, Southern Business and Economic Journal, The Journal of Learning in Higher Education, The Journal of Academic Administration in Higher Education, Journal of Business and Economic Perspectives, and a chapter in Rural Dimensions of Welfare Reform.
