Corporate finance students are encouraged to join both campus and professional organizations.
The Department of Accounting, Finance, and Economics supports Beta Alpha Psi, the international student honorary organization for Accounting, Finance, and Information
Systems. The Winthrop Beta Alpha Psi chapter is active in many areas including service projects, Meet the Firms, and hosting business
professionals for presentations. Students must have completed a minimum of 54 hours
with a 3.0 GPA overall and within finance in order to be a candidate for membership.
Further, the student must be enrolled or have completed at least one upper level class
in finance.
Students may also choose from many other College of Business Student Organizations and Honor Societies and University Student Organizations.
