On behalf of the faculty, staff and current undergraduate and graduate students, welcome to the Department of Counseling, Leadership, and Educational Studies. As an integral part of the Richard W. Riley College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences, the Department of Counseling, Leadership, and Educational Studies has a history of preparing students to meet the needs of our 21st Century learners, families, and clients. The Department, with over 350 students enrolled in its undergraduate and graduate programs, offers the following degree programs:

The Department consists of 10 full-time faculty, several part-time faculty, and key staff members who are student-centered and dedicated to our mission. College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences learning spaces feature the latest instructional technology embedded in a collaborative learning environment allowing our students to be prepared for the transition to their chosen profession. Each program in the Department strategically engages and immerses its candidates in 300 or more hours of field-based experience providing candidates professional opportunities to develop confidence and expertise in their field of study.
