Academic advising and mentoring at Winthrop are integral to the learning process through which students are advised of degree requirements, course sequencing, career opportunities, and campus resources.

Prior to registration, students meet their advisor to review current progress, opportunities, and suggested course work for the next term. In addition, some programs offer group sessions to review general expectations. Ultimately, each student is responsible for understanding and completing all degree requirements and making career-oriented decisions. Students are encouraged to use a Degree Works Planner with their advisor to plan current and future progress.
