The Office of Diversity & Student Engagement believes diversity enhances the Winthrop experience for students, faculty, and staff; it is integral to the academic mission and prepares students for global citizenship. Because of this, we enhance awareness,knowledge, and skills of all students through diversity education, celebrating cultures, and promoting difference perspectives.

Students will develop better skills to work, interact, and collaborate with people
across different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences.

on race, culture, gender, socioeconomics, sexuality, religion, language, disability,
and ability.
Skills
Diversity & Student Engagement will provide diversity training that will help student
leaders effectively communicate across cultural differences.
