April 7-13, 2025
Graduate Student Appreciation Week was started in 1993 by the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students as a way to support and appreciate graduate and professional students. The week seeks to emphasize the contributions, impact, and value of graduate and professional students on campuses throughout the United States.
Winthrop will be celebrating the week with a variety of events for graduate students: some designed to boost your professional profile, help you connect with your community, or increase your sugar intake!
We look forward to celebrating all that is extraordinary about our Winthrop Graduate Students!
During this week, stop by the Graduate Studies Office or the main office of your college for a goodie bag of treats to get you through the rest of the semester! We’ll also have Appreciation Week pins which can get you discounts around town (see Local Vendor Discounts at the bottom of the page).

Your program modality, whether in-person or online, does not affect your participation in any of these events. If you are online but want to present in-person you are absolutely welcome to, and visa versa. You cannot, however, participate in both.
This year we are offering an online showcase alternative for those who want to participate but cannot attend in-person.
