ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA - Three finalists for the dean of Winthrop University's Richard W. Riley College of Education position will be on campus for interviews and public presentations March 28-April 5.
Each candidate will participate in interviews with faculty, staff, administrators and students. Also, each finalist will give a presentation to faculty, staff, students and interested community members in Dina’s Place in the DiGiorgio Campus Center.
The finalists are:
* Judy Beck, professor and dean of the School of Education at the University of South Carolina Aiken. She will visit the campus March 28-29 with the public presentation at 2 p.m. on March 29.
* Beth Costner, interim dean of the Richard W. Riley College of Education. She will interview March 30-31 with the public presentation at 2 p.m. on March 31.
* Neporcha Cone, chair for the Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education at Kennesaw State University. She will visit April 4-5 with the public presentation at 2 p.m. on April 5.

Provost Adrienne McCormick praised the work by search committee members, and said that she looks forward to learning more from the candidates about their ideas for leading the College of Education.
Members of campus and local communities are encouraged to attend the candidate presentations. Feedback on each candidate will be solicited by way of electronic survey for those who participate in the interview process, said Jeff Bellantoni, dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts and chair of the search committee.
